Wisdom tooth extraction is a surgical procedure to remove one or more wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth or third molars, are the last permanent teeth to appear (erupt) in the mouth. • Follow all pre-op and post-op instructions that your Dentist provide.
• Start taking any medication as prescribed by your Dentist.
• Rest for at least 24 hours after oral surgery.
• Used gauze pad to stop any bleeding can be removed after one hour post surgery.
• Don’t spit or rinse your mouth for 24hrs.
• Reduce swelling by applying ice packs to your face for 15 minutes at a time immediately after surgery.

• Don’t touch the surgical site.
• Don’t drink soft or hard drinks for at least 24 hours before and after treatment.
• Don’t smoke in general, but for at least a few days after oral surgery.
• If you still feel numb six hours later or experience excessive bleeding, call your Dentist
• Do not exercise for at least 12 to 24 hours after oral surgery.
• Don’t do any heavy lifting or move your head forcefully for a few days following treatment.
• Don’t ignore any post-op pain or concern. Your Dentist need to know about any problems you experience after oral surgery in order to help you heal properly.
